LJ-Sec is a bulk journal entry management tool. It allows you to bulk change post security, delete posts, find and replace items, repost journal entries to other LJ-compatible servers, and other assorted odds and ends.
This version adds some advanced options that allow you to add / delete / edit the metadata stored in Livejournal entries directly. This also adds a delay that you can set between each Livejournal call, which may be necessary if you are getting "too many requests" type errors.

This update fixes a couple of issues with using this tool on systems other than Livejournal (the interface dropdown did not show the correct setting if it was anything other than the listed items, and bugs with the default journal filename were fixed).

I'm getting an error.
Text is:
And then of course I get the synchronization failed error.
Let me know if there's anything else I can tell that would help you track down why this is happening.

Error connecting to the web server!
Error message: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.

Invalid password error

Since LJ's last update, I get an error when I try to use lj-sec. It opens fine, and tells me it's obtaining a synch list, and then I get an error that says "invalid password". The password is correct, I checked it twice, but I know this last update changed some of the remote log-in paths. I thought that was probably the issue. Will there be an lj-sec update coming to fix this? *hopeful*

Hi,
A while ago I wanted to make all my old entries private, so I used LJ-Sec and it worked a treat.
Now, more recently, having backed up my LiveJournal, I don't want to see them at all.
I've tried mass--deleting but all the private entries are still there.
Is it possible to mass-delete private entries?

This update adds the ability to batch append text to either the beginning, or the end of your journal. Select the articles you want to append text to, and type the phrase you want to append. Useful for adding signatures or LJ tags.

This update changes the location of saved journal data and configuration information (making it way more friendlier for Windows Vista and Windows 7). It also gives you the option to save any entries you get from a partial sync.
